Great news for Shibarians around the world! Their favorite platform has recently released the second update in relation to their scaling efforts. From what we know so far, Alchemy Pay and Shibarium team have collaborated in an effort to increase the scaling capacity for the imminent blockchain. Currently, the capacity has increased by a whooping 1500%.
Let’s dive into the nitty gritty of what passed and what is expected to become.
The First Update
On 17tth August 2023, the Shibarium blockchain went into a fail safe mode. Why did that happen? Well, as far as the investigation goes, the network found an immense amount of contract creation and transactions to have happened in one block. Well, in order to counteract this unexpected weight, the system at Shibarium went into fail safe mode in order to keep the funds safe. Following this incident, on August 18, 2023 the first update regarding this fiasco was released for the SHIBArmy.
As expected, the team at Shibarium then called for support from some of their powerful allies whose name has thus far been disclosed. Following the breakdown, they have been collaborating with the team at Alchemy to increase the network’s capacity.
One thing that can be said for Shibarium is that they keep their word. As expected, on the second day of their scaling effort, they released an update. As per temporary internal testing reports, the blockchain was re-started. The team has worked with validators and taken external help to scale the server’s infrastructure.
The good news in all this fiasco is the fact that users can be rest assured that their funds are safe and secure. Now that the team has an idea about the benchmark on the traffic to be expected, they are creating protocols for proper support. For now, users can sleep peacefully as can the devs who have worked tirelessly to ensure user security. Let’s see what the future holds!
